Charity Concerts
OK, so this won't be of interest to most of you, but maybe it will inspire some of you, and for anyone in or around the North East, pay attention!
I am doing a couple of charity concerts to raise money for Christian victims of the floods in Pakistan, many of whom are being denied aid because of their faith. For an example of this, see <a href="http://britishpakistanichristian.blogspot.com/2010/10/open-doors-confirm-aid-discrimination.html" target="_blank">this article from the British Pakistani Christian Association</a>
The concert will be local singers and singer-writers, interspersed with easy listening / classical piano interludes.
Ticket costs are kept down to £5 so that as many people can come as possible, but there will be opportunity to donate further. Tickets will be sold at the door on a first come, first serve basis!
The dates and venues are
Corbridge Parish church - Friday 5th November (yes, I know, lots of bangs!) 8:00 to 9:45
Beth Shan Church, Park Road, Sunderland Saturday 6th November 7:30 to 9:30
I still have some gaps to fill, so if anyone wants to sing a couple of songs (non-worship), get in contact with me.
