God tells us to worship him with all we have and so worship through movement is vital! what are your thoughts? have you heard any scriptures that inspired you to move? what experiences have you had through movement in worship?

in the bible it says we must worship with all we are and if you think about our reaction to people we love you will see movement is a huge part of it! when u haven't seen someone u love in ages u run to them, your whole posture is different, your facial expression, everything. surely this should be the same for God?

Just saw a video about The "Mouk" tribe in Africa. The missionary working with them spent many hours explaining the whole story, plan of salvation, when he came o the invitation, they all jumped up and said yes, the whole village..and when he explained to them what that meant , they jumped up and down and danced for over 2 hours....that was pure spontaneous worship of newborn believers...It was tearjerking to say the least...its a great testimony for those who think you shouldn't move.....The natural response to God's love is to move...not moving is holding back the response...... and not worshipping in full truth of what you feel...wow, I feel a song coming on..where is that paper?

I can't be still when I worship! When I lead for the kids, we dance and do hand motions, and when I'm in the main sanctuary, in "grown up" worship, I'm either dancing at my seat (probably not a pretty sight, LOL) or still doing the kid motions. Glad to find this group--it's not just me! :-)

So, I'm not a dancer by any means. However, I'm one of the wiggliest bassists you've ever seen. :) When I worship from behind the bass I have to move. I suppose it's just one more little bit that I can give in my offering. Know what I mean?
