Here is one of my tunes with vocals. This tune asks a very relevant question in today's culture.

Sacred

Intro: (Whispers) Nothing Sacred

Verse 1
Crossing the earth
Naked my eyes
Holding the weight of shame
Steeple & stone
Left to disgrace
Disregards Your Holy name

Chorus
The Word you've given
Is nothing sacred anymore?
Bodies we live in
Is nothing sacred anymore?
Perfection tainted
Is nothing sacred anymore?
Is nothing sacred
Is nothing sacred

Verse 2
Trading in souls
Handing out flesh
Stealing misguided minds
Image is veiled
Truth is denied
Darkness replaces light

Repeat Chorus

Pre- Bridge
No
Why?
Lord save me from this

Bridge
High King
You're the one
Who's given man
The vision to create

Repeat Chorus

I like it. It is very relevant today and is a valid question!! Very intersting the way you have creatively written this song. How long have you been writing songs??? Tricia
Thanks Tricia...

I'm 42 and have been writing music since about the age of 14. 28 years goes by sooo fast! : ) )
This is as good as it gets in this genre. I hope this gets more attention.
Thanks Jack! Most appreciated my man. Being blessed with this song is the reason why that cd is in its third pressing. Praise God!
love the tone you get with your guitar. Great theme. Overall great job! Rock on!
Thanks Bizzy! The tone is via my Line 6 Vetta II mic'd with a Royer R121. My guitar is an Agile AD2500 with a Tone Zone.
Wow! First off God has given you a real talent. This is so obvious. secondly, I agree with Tricia. Great message. the style would actually be great to target an audience which typically doesn't have a high level of Christian music geared to their liking. I'v not heard a hard sound like that for ages. Very tastefully done.
I'd love to hear more!
Martin I am humbled... thank you.

If you wish you can hear a lot more of this kind of stuff at my label site www.trinityrecords.net All of the tunes there are totally free for downloading. I started TRP to basically be a springboard for all of the music that the good Lord sends through my noggin :))

The one thing that I am forever greatful to our Lord for is that when he feed me this tune I never would have imagined the crossover appeal to secular progressive rock fans coming back at such a high level like it did. Our Lord is great and mighty and He opened a lot of doors with this song.

There is a real underground Christian progressive rock movement going on and unfortunately its not being marketed to any great degree... if you go to www.thundersongs.com you will find a slew of great bands writing unbelievable music.

I would love to see more of the popular Christian rock bands out now throwing creative caution to the wind and just let it rip and take Psalm 33 to heart and play as skillfully as they can. Be creative and make the secular music world stand up and take notice for once... :))

Thanks again for listening!
Okay! I like rock! I really do! My favorite parts of the song were the Bridge (lyrics, melody and music), the solo guitar and the melody and music of the rest of the song. However, not so much the lyrics of the verses and the chorus. I guess I didn't get what the song was about... Is it about the question "is nothing sacred anymore?" If so, then I get it! and if so, I would advise that you add the word "anymore" to the very last line of the chorus. That sort of completes the thought and the song for that matter and really makes the song make sense (for me at least). Other than that, HOLY COW you're an excellent music and vocalist! Pump up ur rock fist, brother!
Thanks David.

Yep you got the message of the song.. It is about asking if anything is sacred anymore. We actually had the word "anymore" at the end of each line on the chorus but after listening back to it we felt it got too repetitive and felt the first three times it happens in the chorus was plenty to support the concept of the song.

I'm not singing though... you don't want me to sing! :)) Thats Shane Lankford of Orphan Project. They are a great band from Baltimore, you should check em out.

Thanks for checking it out!
I love this...keep it comming!
!!!! DUDE!!! THAT that song is tight have you checked out songwriter 101 .com ther is a song writing contest called the all american song writing contest your stuff is good enough to enter you could go all the way to the top . all it takes is for the
right person to hear that and say who is this guy we need to get him down here now you will probably end up with a recording contract if you do not have one already also bmi is cool to they wiil protect your music i hope all your songs are copywritten i love the metal edge just right not to hard core peace and the Fathers Blessings to you Amen
