A simple gospel chorus to go with Psalm 30:1-5

I will praise You, Lord
For You raised me up
When I cried out You healed my soul!

I will praise You, Lord
For You raised me up
You restored me to life and made me whole!

His anger
is but for a moment
His Love
it lasts for a lifetime
though tears may linger for the night

His anger
is but for a moment
His love
it lasts for a lifetime
and joy will come with the morning light!

Hi Keith, love the video to go along with the song. You did a nice job of that. It was also fun to hear you all sing together in live worship.

I have only one thing that was a yellow flag to me. The melody sounds a lot like some praise choruses that I have heard over the years. You might want to consider changing the melody just a little to give it more variety. The feel is great and very singable, but it also sounds similar to other songs out there. Thank you for posting this. It has a great message.
Hi Lara,
thanks so much for your comments.Yes, I based it on a pretty traditional structure. It would be fun to play with it a bit more. Would be fun to see what a real gospel group or others would do with it.

Mahalo!
This has a fun feel to it - I could sense the joy!
Tricia, thanks! We were re-connecting with some old church friends. We used to sing together in worship team. It had been years since we were together, and I had batches of songs to play with, so we sat around the coffee table, prayed, laughed and sang our hearts out! It was very messy and loose, but such a blessing! Mahalo for your encouragement!
