I was wondering how many CCLI songwriters are on this forum. I have listened to a lot of songs on this site and I am impressed with the high quality and anointing that is upon them even more so that what is currently on the charts and is used by the majority of the churches, Maybe we could form a group to help get our songs out there to each others churches,
CCLI is a great resource for those who write worship songs. I am a SESAC affiliated writer and have seen more results from my CCLI songs than any of my other published songs.

Permalink Reply by Tony Chung on August 3, 2012 at 6:40am I've been trying to get into CCLI for years, but they've made it increasingly more difficult to sign up as an artist/publisher. While I'd like to register my tunes and make them available for others to use, CCLI expects that writers have at least 5 churches use their songs before they will even consider looking at your application. Apparently even my friend who is a CCLI publisher found he had to follow the same criteria before he can register any more of his own songs.
I'd really like to be proven wrong, and shown the way I should go to get started.
Permalink Reply by Lewis Moore on August 3, 2012 at 1:34pm From my experience anyone can register with CCLI by sending in the application and fee. The church where you lead worship at needs to be registered with CCLI. When you register your songs, each song will be given a number your songs however will not show up on song select until 5 churches report that they are using your songs,
Permalink Reply by Ed Fuchs on August 17, 2012 at 8:09pm I was under the impression that I would pay 50$ to join CCLI but that it wasn't worth it until I knew there were atleast 5 churches playing my songs... I have all my chord charts to all the songs and some how to videos as well... I'm trying to get these songs out to the churches.
Permalink Reply by Ed Fuchs on October 10, 2012 at 6:17am I will try to join soon and my songs are increasing in number...
How do you become a CCLI songwriter? Is it just a matter of joining and a fee?
