'His mercy reigns' v. 'His mercy rains' (Amazing grace, my chains are gone)
I'm editing the overheads for the Chris Tomlin 'Amazing grace'.
At the moment the chorus reads:
My chains are gone,
I've been set free.
My God, my Saviour has ransomed me,And like a flood His mercy reigns,
Unending love, amazing grace.
I see 'reigns' and 'rains' online. I think it makes more sense to use rains (his mercy rains like a flood). What do you think?
