Hello,
I'm new here and newly having the opportunity to been blessed to do an album recording from one recording studio to our youth group for "FREE" (Praise the LORD!!!)
but we have no experience in doing recording or so...
So I'll throw alot of newbie or "blood-boiling" questions and please in your most humour manner to make this discussion abit lighten can? LOL~!
what will we expect in the process?
How to choose songs?
Should we compose our own song?
We only have 6 moths PREPARATION + RECORDING... should we prolong the process?
Musicians are ready but not vocalists (although they sang well pitch for the Wroship leader, not backups...).
umm....
This is just some of the questions I could think of right now...
but please, I will love all you guys experienced comments ;)
It is more blessed to give than to received ya?
Thank you guys for being so passion for the Lord when all these technology stuff kicking in and claim back for the Lord. ;)

God Bless~!

Worth remembering that some of the best albums ever recorded were laid down effectively like a live performance in just one or 2 days - the amount of time it will take depends entirely on your ability and what you want. I think you need to define the objectives for your recording project first - if you aim at nothing you will surely hit it!

Thanks Toni.

Hmm..
our objective is to expose our youth in new kind of - recording ministry, composing ministry - mainly to discover their different gifting; some maybe good in live, some maybe more patient and love to do recording, some may have the gifts in composing. so now we're like pump up in every kinds of stuff that we could think of but if you ask me whether have we came out a very focused one word speaks all... I don't think we have that yet... :)
I'll go with your tips, we'll pray for that one theme we should work on and start from there.
Thanks and you're indeed a great blessings.

Blessings,

Jerry
