We just got 2 driveracks so I will interested in hearing what happened. Sorry I 'm not familiar enough with them to help you yet. Ron
we got the driverack up and running my friend is a engineer he eq it with a spectrum analizer and set every thing flat. what a differance now my rack looks empty because this thing does it all. since my cabs are older they were not on the list of speakers so we had to do a custom set. the auto wizard is a awsome tool i am sure you will love it also i like the sub harmonic thing it adds a lot of bass now my system sounds crystal clear it is great thank Jesus
Randy,
Go to DBX and check out the forums. There is a "start here" in the main forum, your questions will be answered there.
Unfortunately, the manual does not give you what you need to get started. Follow through the links and print the information (there is quite a bit of it), you will be surprised of the severe learning curve.
The DR is definitely the way to go. It replaces the following components:
Stereo EQ
Crossover
Sub harmonic processor
Limiter/compressor
The only drawback is, the RTA is only dependable from 170~700Hz. The rest needs to be done by ear. It is not a "magic eq" as is commonly believed. The white papers on the DBX site explain.
Check your total system AC load, you might be exceeding load. If you are using big power amps, turn them on in stages, not all at once. It takes alot of surge current to load large power supplies. This can be catastrophic to other components.
Hope this helps.
John
we are volunteers at my fellowship but thankfully the church has invested in training and support and when they built our auditorium/main hall (3and a bit years ago) they took alot of the worship groups need (ok not all as it's a multi purpose hall for other things during the week) but they have helped so much in it.
