Thank you for your commitment Elman: The truth is nobody sees you when you go to a nursing home so people don't think to try for a position because it doesn't come to mind and unfortunately you might get the "I don't have time for that" attitude from people too. Sad.

I lead worship once a month to a group of nursing home residents. I've lead worship in church for over 20 years. Don't do it anymore, (had too many people trying to take my position, cutting me down behind my back to my Pastor, etc. etc.) You know the funny thing is, no one is fighting to help me lead worship to these beautiful people. No one is trying to take my postion either. Imagine that.

Hello from Dallas Texas!

I am so glad to find a group that specifically relates to my situation....I am a public school choir, piano and guitar teacher who leads praise and worship during the summers at a church camp for 6 - 14 year olds. The church has been a great place to start but I find that many of my children will never go to ANY church and I can reach them in the public schools during the school year. I encourage them to continue to sing with us for 7 weeks during the summer and learn to praise God with freedom....God has been so faithful to allow me this opportunity to minister to my inner city students....God bless you all and stay strong in the Lord!
