I was thinking about getting this video, "Ed Kerr: Keyboards in Contemporary Praise and Worship," thinking I might get new ideas for voicings and keyboard sounds. Can anyone recommend this video either way? I really liked Baloche's "Worship Band Workshop."

I've watched the Ed Kerr video, and it is very elementary. I do not believe that anyone playing keyboards with their church worship band would really glean anything from them.

Seems that there is no video instructional material (that I have encountered) that are on par with the WTW videos, or the Beginning Acoustic Guitar videos.

Probably because Mr. Baloche plays the guitar.
if you are in London on 7th August I'm running a keyboard masterclass which will give you inspiration in your playing, new chords and techniques, show you how to be more confident in your playing and give you personal advice and help - if you want to come down would be GREAT to meet you! 11am til 1pm. For more info contact me at howard@howardfrancis.co.uk - we also have one on 11th September just in case you can't make the August one! thanks, Howard Francis
I would really recommed the one from Musicademy.com They are in the UK but have a fulfillment center in USA as well. I'm not a superb keyboardist. Going from self taught. But I've found their intermediate keyboards series extremely top notch. Many other keyboard training dvds are just a show off tool for the artist but never really explain indepth. That is not the case here. They spend a good deal of time actually explaining pieces.

There are 3 DVDs in the Intermediate set. The first may be a bit too elementary for you. But the second DVD is incredible. Starting you out with things like fills, improvs, etc. (showing you when a good time to use 6ths versus 5ths ... things like that).

Also I just got an email a few days ago that they released a 3rd series "Advanced Keyboards for Worship" I can't wait to finish so I can move up to that set.

Check out their site. Also they have some "song learner" downloads that spend 20 minutes on the keys teaching you each and every piece of a song. Those are only $5 a piece and would give you a great idea of what you would be getting with the DVD series.

Flute, Could you give us a little more background / info on what exactly you'd like to learn?

Howard, while I appreciate your enthusiasm and entrepreneurial attitude, please note that you can click on anyone's profile and see their location.
Flute Punch is in Oregon (USA).
Your second post almost borders on spam as it has no relevance to the OP (original poster).
