Greg - that looked like an interesting discussion. Never had 6550s in PP - only as SE - but my one concern is that it might be a bit stiff and loud for a typical church meeting.

hi jean, there is also some form of ageing process to get the result you are after.. I really do not knw how but my luthier told that it is quite possible to achieve... it really makes your guitar look funkily old. infact Fender had some aged re-issues

I found this maybe it helpful : http://www.ehow.com/how_5764824_age-guitar-wood.html

Jean, I had a friend that did that with one of his guitars. He sanded it clean then oiled it, and then he coated it with beeswax. It looked really cool. I just did a google search and found this thread that has a picture if you scroll down a bit.

Hi! I need another help guys..I'm removing my strato's paint..I'm planning to make it look like a stratocaster 70's..But I don't want to put some kind of spray locker or clear coating stuff.I just want it to be smooth..and to have wood feeling.. What do you think I should use to make it smooth..after sanding it? I just need a small help on this one..

Jean, YouTube and other internet sites have many good videos to show you basic guitar scales. Try these two for starters and then find some more: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1cJPh6nlm28 and http://www.5min.com/Video/How-to-Play-Blues-Guitar-Scales-2459108

Good luck!
