I currently play mostly electronics these days. It just works well for the situation I'm in right now Plus I live in a townhome. My rig consists of a Zendrum MIDI controller, MAC i book 2gig RAM running Battery 3 drum sampler, MOTU ultra lite interface, Mackie SRM450 monitor.
I also use a kit made up of Dauz pads and custom built drums. An Alesis trigger I/O to plug the drums into. The results are amazing. I have a computer based studio in my basement so the electronics work very nice for both live and studio work.
My acoustic set is custom built and consists of a 20X18 bass drum, 12X10 tom, 18X16 floor tom and a 8X4 concert tom. A 12X6 snare drum is my main snare. Cymbals are Zildjian.

Having all that extra metal to bang on is a wonderful thing, I mean come on! But, at the endof the day all the extra sounds that having chinas and splashes in a set up bring are just that, extra. I think that you can just as much, if not more, with just a high-hat, crash and ride.

I've been a drummer since I was a kid, and enjoy using drums and percussion in worship. I find that having a variety of cymbals (crash, ride, hat, splash, china) adds so much power to the music. But I'd like to also include other auxiliary instruments, like shaker, mark tree, tambourine. What do you use in worship for aux percussion? worship mp3 resource
