I'm always trying to find resources to use in leading, finding new songs, and the chords. At the moment we have pastor Poncho's crew from CC Montebello who send us CDs. Then I find the chords on various internet sites. I'm limited with funds because I only use Yen. Just wondering if there was this like... Amazing hidden secret on the internet where Calvary WLs are going to. Thanks for taking the time to talk..

Hey Fred, don't worry about having limited funds. God's hand is never too short to supply everything we need for His church. I understand the feeling, though! No matter what size of church or budget we have we'll always see places that extra resources could be helpful, but our job is to simply be faithful with what we have in the time we have it.

Some practical help though: I don't spend any money on charts. I make them myself. This might be difficult initially depending on your musicianship, but it will certainly develop you wherever you are at. I also find that this is crucial in absorbing songs lyrically and melodically which ultimately prepares you for your worship sets ahead of time. You can also begin to play with arrangements because you are so familiar with the songs instead of simply copying cds.

Worship conferences are a big help. (I know you already posted a thread regarding that) It gives you the opportunity to listen to other worship leaders from other places and get the pulse of songs that God is using in different congregations. I usually come away with a song or two that fits great for our church.

I like worshiptogether.com as well. The charts aren't always the best (even though they are the official publisher charts) but it is a good resource for the Passion, Chris Tomlin, Tim Hughes, Matt Redman, etc. songs. Youtube is also loaded with new and old worship songs. Search for Evan Wickham on there, he's got some good videos showing some of his newest songs.

Hope some of this helps!

Aloha Fred,

I use worshiparchive.com. its a pretty good site. you can choose the song by artist or clicking on the alphabet. You can even change the Key if you want too. Pretty cool. I also use iwillworship.com. you can search either by artist, song title, or even just a phrase of the song. Hope this helps.

In HIs hands,

Tony
Thanks man, great site. They have just about everything.
