eu espero que todos venham estar participando desde espaço na qual não são todos os brasileiros aqui presente. E como 12 vamos multiplicar com grandes evangelismo com muito Louvor e adoração a Deus, estive sumido daqui e agora estou voltando...

I hope everyone is participating in this space from which God would bring us. And as we multiply 12 with very large outreach praise and worship to God, I've gone away and now I'm back ...

God Blessed life all

Found a site that will help those trying to learn Portuguese...or any language...
http://www.livemocha.com/
You can interact and connect with others who are learning the same language you are.

Is it ok if I join your group? My husband and I took a mission trip to Brazil a couple years ago ~ I fell in love with the people & the country and cannot wait to return.
Is there a program you use to be able to type in Portuguese? I am not very good at speaking it yet but trying to learn.

Please do not mistake what I said for discouragement. It is not. I think what you're doing is great and interesting and I hope it brings great glory to God and joy to your life. I just wanted to be sure you understood that writing a song inspired by a particular style or in a particular language does not make it of that culture. So no one from Brazil would take offense when you describe your music. God Bless!

Rene:

I work a lot in Brazil, Mexico and other cultures. I think it's great that you are finding Christian inspiration in other cultures and languages, but you are not Brazilian. So you do have to be careful when you refer to the music you write as Brazilian. My wife is Brazilian. Some people might take offense. Now, saying it is inspired by Brazilian music is another matter. And that's what it sounds like from what you describe. All musicians have many diverse influences. I do myself. But I write as an American, because that is who I am and will always be. I appreciate your explaining why you called it Brazilian music. I understand where you're coming from. Hopefully, this gives you another point of view to consider. I do not want anyone from Brazil to take offense at what you are saying. Personally, I work in and out of multiple cultures on a daily basis, and I find I have to be careful not to offend by being insensitive to others' perspectives. Good luck to you!

Interesting, Rene. Where are you from that you want to write Brazilian songs in Portuguese? What makes them Brazilian songs if they are not written in a Brazilian musical style? The language?
