What is the size & music style where you worship? Is that the way you like it or would you like to see some change?

we are an Anglican church in small town Alberta. Our congregation ranges from 9 day old to 90 yrs old. Our music blend of contemporary and traditional is wonderful. We strive, as Anglicans, not to sing so much about "I" but about "WE". We are a community, and part of something much much larger, so we sing about WE.

We have a gifted pianist/organist and a very capable drummer. Our version of the Lord's Prayer with piano and drums will make your heart pound with joy.

For major festivals of the church our small choir practices classic chorales. Good Friday will be the next recital.

I don't think I would want to change anything. As the church year progresses our music changes to fit the season.

In addition we have 2 gifted singers who sing duets, in harmony, during Communion. They sing to quiet guitar or accapella......it is often haunting, always beautiful and a true gift to us all.
Sounds like you have a good thing going there...Praise God!
We have a marvellous thing here. Anglicanism is faith supported by scripture, reason and tradition. We struggle at times to be relevant to the world around us, we engage in dialogue with other churches with a little success. Our small town has 15 small protestant churches, many of which are very conservative splinter groups. Frankly, we seem to be the only one with significant representation from others who may have different skin colour or racial background. There are times some of us work together but there are other times it seems hopeless. We can't even get all the local churches involved in the local ministerial association! God must weep at times at our folly.
