What Makes You Worship?
Worship is not just for Sundays...Worship has to be our breath. Each day gives us thousands of reasons to worship the Lord...This discussion is to encourage each of us to identify one reason every day to worship the Lord and to share it here will not only open our eyes to the blessings of each day....but also encourage others to do the same.

I believe our life and how we live it is worship. I think the struggle is over what we worship (i.e. what we devout our time to and invest our energy in) not necessarily to worship. Worship to me is the natural response to God showing up in my life. It's the times He proves who He is and I cannot help but to get down on my face and lift His name above mine. I also believe worship can be a choice. Like when you go through seasons when you don't hear Him or see Him working. I think the choice to worship God when life sucks is how we get through our messes.
As far as the musical side of things goes... I think everything you do on stage should be overflow of how you live your life. If you don't keep that constant connection with God throughout the week, what will you have to release to the congregation? Not to say it's all about the worship leader (I believe every band member, sound tech, lighting guy etc. contributes to bring His presence into a congregational setting) but if we don't have something to impart why waste the time.
I worship God for many reasons. He first loved me, He died so He could be with me, He talks to me, encourages me when I'm down, He inspires me, He is everything, and the list goes on... Well, I ranted enough. I'll get off my soapbox now. Haha. Cool topic.

These answers may seem basic.
Faith- knowing that God hears me when I worship.
Anticipation- knowing that I will hear from God when I worship.
Mercy- When I think about the mercy God has shown me I can't help but worship.

I am back after a long long time...the situations I went thru that brought me back here make me worship HIM.
