What does Pentecost mean to you?
Hi folks. Amongst other things, I lead a monthly informal worship evening at my church - The Salvation Army in Glenrothes, Scotland. Its a fun laid back but strongly Spirit-led evening and we love it - its called Catch the Fire! Anyway, at our next meet (see blog post for details) we will be looking slightly belatedly at Pentecost and asking are you On Fire? I wonder if you guys would be able to help me please? Can you, as briefly as possible (imagine this is Twitter and you've only got 140 characters!), tell me what Pentecost means to you. Dont worry about a strict character limit but please keep it short and snappy - we may have a lot to get through on the night as well as live testimony. Being a cradle catholic, Pentecost for me is 'duty becoming delight' .

For me..it is 'to listen' to God as best I am able to understand in this present day.....in 'earnest expectation'..in these, the days of the 'Greatest show on Earth'....as it unfolds before our eyes. I think 'Pentacost' was a specific event that happened as outlined by the Lord, to a 'handful of people....However, now the Holy Spirit is doing a 'new thing'......and this time it is going all around the world.
"People get ready, there's a train, it's comin. It's pickin up people from coast to coast. Faith is the key for those who climb aboard her."
