That's interesting. A couple of pastors I know have said that they study the Bible for the sake of their sermons. One even said that if not for him having to preach often he would have backslided a long time ago. :)

I was reading the books that tell of the Israelites return from exile (Nehemiah, Ezra, Zechariah, ect), but just finished those last night. That is why I looked at this forum. I wanted a new avenue to read. Not sure if I should go back into the New Testament or continue in the Old.
I also read Matthew fairly regularly and try to read Proverbs everyday with my kids. Oh, and 1 Corinthians 13:4 to the kids hoping some love will sink in eventually. :) My older kids are studying Genesis, and I don't always read it with them but I do study with them and quiz them.
