Thinking about getting one of these for a small mission trip in July if I can come up with the extra cash.  Praying about it.

Does anyone own one of these and what's your opinions?

Don't let this be a Taylor versus (Insert other brand here) thread.

I think you have plenty to go on Josh. My only advice is that there is no one best guitar, only the one you like best! And there is no shame in the one you asked about, but it seems that you already know that.

Cheers

Maybe delete this reply? I don't know, but it seems that you're admitting something later, so why memorialize it?
I'm not offended, I'm just saying that the response will be there forever with your name on it. And yes, what I said had everything to do with the original question and a request for courtesy that you ignored.
Right, just immaturity and a disregard for what the original poster asked for. So leaving it up makes you look bad, it doesn't bother me. If you don't see it, then that says a lot.
If a moderator wants to close this thread, that's fine with me.  It has served its purpose (more or less). ;)

Hey Josh, I don't think there will be any more of this. I certainly don't plan on carrying it further.

One thing I would make you aware of on this guitar is that the scale length is 23 1/2" which is a full two inches shorter than the typical Taylor or Martin guitar. Some people will find this comfortable, but most will find it hard to play higher up the neck as the spacing gets very tight. If you're looking for a smaller guitar to travel with, scale length is perhaps the most important consideration. I know there are several parlor-sized guitars out there that have a more standard scale length, somewhere between 24 3/4" 25 1/2".

Cheers and happy hunting! Let us know if you come to a decision.

It should be comfortable, as I'm only 5ft 8 and I have pretty skinny fingers, so that shouldn't be a problem.

I'm just putting some money to the side, so unless any freelance music work or whatever opens up, it'll take a couple of months, as I'm a cash only guy.  I'll keep you posted on what I decide.

Then you might just find that to be perfect. If you have one locally that you can try, that is best.
