With the Olympics starting in London today there will be a very strong bias towards reflecting this in our church services over the next few weeks. Especially as we have some of the Australian team staying in our town and we know many other people involved in the running of it (we are only some 25 miles/40k away from the Olympic park).
To this effect, do you have any good (or humorous even) suggestions for good songs to use that might be a nice idea for Olympic flavoured services? (running the straight race, fighting a good fight etc).
The actual motto for London 2012 is Faster, Higher, Stronger.
Any thoughts gratefully received.

We did an "Olympic-themed" service recently.... but it was difficult to find songs that were specifically on the Olympic theme.
The readings chosen were: Philippians 3:7-14, Hebrews 12:1-2; 2 Timothy 4:7-8, so you can see where this was coming from - very much on the pressing on towards the goal, running the race, etc. In the end, the songs chosen were as follows - not all specifically on theme:
As a whole, these worked quite well.
I think I played "Jesus be the centre" at some point... not least because of the "wind in these sails" line! I also considered "We bow our hearts (Adoration)" by Brenton Brown as a possibility.
