Just wondering what new worship songs from this year (i.e. 2010) have caught your imagination? Is there a particular worship song that was new to you recently, but now seems like you've known it for ages? These songs are often the ones that are congregational and easy to pick up.

Looking forward to seeing which new worship songs are popular amongst our members!

I love the Songs written by Jason Ingram off the "one" and "Sonic" eps by one sonic society. all of them are amazing. Also Jesus Culture has some really amazing live worship.

Our church has been loving "Your Love Never Fails" and "Sing My Love" (both from Jesus Culture, I believe).  Also, I have a guitar-driven contemporary version of "Tis So Sweet" with a fresh bridge that has been working well (I'm giving away MP3s & chord sheets of it, by the way -- you can download it here if you're interested:  www.tissosweetsong.com -- and if you help me give it away, you can make some money for your church or yourself). :)

blessings,

We're on a Michael Gungor kick. Beautiful Things is our most recent

I think Rascall Flatts album "Unstoppable" was.... oh wait you mean Christian Worship. My bad.

I noticed there's a big following of Jeus Culture stuff, since they do seem to do everybody's music a little better than the ones who wrote the songs themselves. They are very good at covering other people's music. But I have to admit, (and this is just me) our church has burnt up J.C. songs. Probably because we have a female worship leader that loves them but when she does the little haha, like Kim Walker, it made me even not want to hear them even more. After a while, it all sounds the same to me. And why did everyone have to do a duet with Kari Jobe this year?

Most notable for me was Hillsongs "Love Like Fire" and "The Father's Heart" from (A Beautiful Exchange)

United's "Arms Open Wide"

Deluge's (Unshakable) album is very good. Not all that easy for most praise bands but very good stuff. Of course he does do a duet with Kari Jobe on it.

Oh and by the way lead singer "Garry LeVoux" from Rascall Flatts was in a Christian band before Rascall Flatts.

Elman you are on it,Check out Leonard Jones ,he was the head musician there for 20 yrs ,he teaches young people to go in their music/prayer closet, listen to the Holy Spirit write a new song.He also says stop listening to groups like Jesus Culture ,Hillsongs,OneThing, you get what I am saying :) Sooo he travels all over doing worship schools & worship in  church's where invited, stretches the ####  out of the musicians.Leo is a world class musician ,he is on youtube.com. check out ,mosart read the comments,he played in a symphony, fusion band, rock bands,I went to a worship school in Lakeland FL. at TTC.Leo & TCC are on facebook,A breath of fresh air ,he does not even listen to U2eee Hillsong stuff ,that is not a critcal statement ,they have some great songs ,his point is write your own ,sound like you not them,Check out one of my FAV'S Suzy Yaraei on you tube.com HE'S ALIVE send me a friend request on Face Book ,I have some great songs for you. ~LARRY FRIES

Want to add this I play drums with a Psalmist a real one ,she had me in tow for 2 hrs the last time I played/worshiped with her ,Linda Upchurch is so intimate ,sings to the one she loves ,turns on keyboard ,opens her mouth & sings supernatural worship.also can sing whole chapters out of her Bible anywhere, you can do this too, start singing/playing to Jesus ,maybe you do :) She has written so many songs like that I stopped counting ,sing you one too. :) you will never meet Linda ,she lives in obscurity sings to audience of one ,a great psalmist I do admire all the famous worship leaders tho ,rather play drums with her because of the intimate loving worship she sings to the Lord.~ In Jesus ,Larry

I have a few songs I've loved this year.  One is one I wrote with some friends and have shamelessly plugged ever since, called Bring Your Kingdom.  You can watch it here!

With other music though, it seems that even if it's new to me, it actually was around a fair bit before I discovered it, so likely my 2010 favourites weren't even from 2010.
