I have a dilemma.  My Pastor forbids the worship team to sing any new songs on a Sunday morning (this is when most people come to church so I think we could learn the new song together).  When we teach new songs in the evening not many people come back (?) so only a handful know the new songs.  Help!!!!

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Gie

I would ask my pastor to back up what he /she is telling you with scripture.

Psalms 33: 3

Sometimes I give people instructions based on"conventional wisdom" but lacking in specifics for the situation.  If they complain, I am wise to say "thanks - I didn't think about that."  I hope he sees the simple logic of your request.

This sucks.

This has probably already been said but: figure out the rationale, then try to overcome the rationale and pray for conversion in your pastor's heart.
