I find it hard to just give a song idea to someone else, because song ideas simply come out of inspiration which is so personal. However the concept of "Broken but Beautiful" is a great theme for a song. Consider this: Jesus himself was broken, when he went to the cross. But different to us, he let his bones be broken. By his wounds we are actually made whole, and that is a beautiful thing. So Jesus was broken and disfigured, but his love was beautiful, and out of it, we ourselves become beautiful in the Father's sight. There's a lot of great poetry there in realising the beauty in the "brokenness" of the cross.

Gosh now *I* want to make it into a song!! Haha.

Thanks Seth. Now that i think about it. . .the worship team could
right a song about theus brokeness inside. :) first post andbout already
have a greatdrink idea. Thanks again Seth.

Psalm 51:17

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.

John 12:24

Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.

James 4:6

But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

Psalm 147:3

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

Romans 3:10

As it is written: “None is righteous, no, not one;

God loves us irrespective of our state of brokenness. However, being broken often circumvents several human traits such as pride, ungodliness, unrighteousness, lack of faith and allows God to have his way. We are not able to fulfil the law, so in a sense only by accepting our "brokenness" can we accept gods restorative power that enables us to overcome.

"What if God wants us to be holy, more than he wants us to be whole?" I always thought that was an interesting idea for a song.

The uk band Quench did a song from God's view point called Beautiful on the Album Aftergrow.  I believe it was written as a message for someone who was self harming.

From the Inside out is a great one
