I'm always looking for new worship songs to incorporate into our worship service on Sundays. What is the latest song that you have found that works well for congregational singing. What is the latest song that has become a congregational favorite. I know there are some songs that work great for the praise team, but I'm talking about songs that the congregation can sing easily.

One I found last week and introduced to our church is Surrender by Joth (Jonathan) Hunt sung by PlanetShakers

I have found that Mighty To Save sung by Laura Story or Hillsong seems to hit a chord with the people (and with me) "Everyone needs forgiveness, the kindness of a Savior..." It's written by Rueben Morgan and Ben Fielding.
I was going to say this one too!
We actually use that one for our youth group. It is one of their favorites.
I just started using Chris Tomlin's Sing, Sing, Sing and I think it struck a chord in the congregation. I am about to use Fire Fall Down and though both are not new songs they are new to our congregation.
I love Fire Fall Down. This was a definite must have when I first heard it. I believe it was our youth who brought it to us.
Sing Sing Sing is really Good! We're introducing that one this month
Sing Sing Sing is also one that our church loves. It's really easy to play. I've been playing fire fall down for the last couple of weeks, and can't wait to work on it with the team. I'm actually getting a lady in our Church to teach me to sing the Spanish version of the chorus that Hillsong United sing's on the I Heart CD. It’s titled “Fuego De Dios”. We don’t have very many Spanish speaking people in our church, but I just love the way it sounds! Maybe we will sing some in??
Hey I found any new song ..................He he he ....This Sunday may I discover
Hosanna..Paul Baloche
What Can I Do...Paul Baloche
Because of Your Love...Guess who???
Sing To The King
I Bless Your Name
All I Have
Reign In Us

these are all newer songs, although not sure when they were written, that I have introduced in our church.
we have three teams. Ours, which is most contemporary, a College and Career Team and a third which is a cross between Pass It On and Days Of Elijah. Sorry, hard to put a finger on their style. Anyhow, it is great to worship and lead as well, but I really appreciate the opportunity to worship when the other teams lead. Very different, but if the practice is put in and the songs singable, very worshipful.
we are actually meeting together for the first time along with our music co-ordinator tomorrow evening to share, pray. build one another up and just lend some support to what we are all trying to do.
How I got to this from the new songs thing I don't know. I hope my leading is more focused then my train of thought.
Oh well, as long as he uses me!
Ciao!
Hosanna by Paul Baloche is a great suggestion!
I agree...I love this song. If it wasn't for you guys on here, I may have never heard it. We are working on it and hoping to introduce it to the congregation this Sunday.
Hey, you're doing Guess Who songs? (Just kidding!)
