I need wise counsel...

Hi All, 

My name is Christina and I am a worship leader at a 3 year old church plant in South Carolina. 

I have not been particularly active on this site, nor do I know many of you, but I need help. I am asking for serious Christian counsel from a fellow worship leader. I don't want to publicly post the issue but if someone could please, please, send me a message or let me know if you're willing to hear my circumstances and offer advice, I would be forever grateful. 

Please pray for me, please pray for my church.

Hi ChristinaRose. Feel free to send a pm to any of the four moderators of this forum if you like; I am one of them, but I'd recommend any of the guys and value their wisdom and advice. In fact, you might want to monitor some of the postings of frequent posters here, and pick a couple or three that you feel comfortable with and share the problem with them together, so that you get a balanced view.

 

Yes, some things are not good to discuss publicly; it's one of the drawbacks of this forum. Quite often there are others from your worship team on the site at the same time!

I am not an experienced worship leader, I was a pastor and now am "music co-ordinator" for lack of a better term.

As another of the moderators, I definitely back up what Rick has said.  He's the most active poster of all of us, but I'm here more often than it appears :)

So I definitely should have updated and said thank you for the prayers for our church.  I'm sorry it took me literally almost 2 years to respond lol.  But honestly, thank you for prayers during such a difficult time.  Our church did close in the fall of 2011 due to some pretty intense circumstances but God crafted the situation for His glory.  I'm with a new church plant that will launch in the fall of this year and He has given me strength to continue as a worship leader. Thanks again! I hope to be more active on the site now that I am back into the ministry again.  :)
