Hey Everyone

What do you do to try to satisfy that deep hunger for GOD. I've read my Bible, worshiped and prayed. What else can I do?

I listen to my iPod a lot - great podcasts (sermons) from gifted teachers!! I love it when I'm driving, when I'm doing dishes, etc!!
And I love journalling - helps me to focus my prayers and Bible reading! I thought of the podcasts right away though, because that I can do throughout my day so easily - helps me keep my mind on 'greater things'.
Thank you Andrea. I journal (nothing like it!!) and also listen to podcasts. This is a tough place to be.
Just keep on hungering. Hunger and thirst. Pray, read the scriptures. Just keep asking and asking. Be a Jacob. Never let go. The Lord will respect you for it and will bless you. If you ever stop being hungry....you could just slip into mediocrity. Pound on that door and tell Him, "Lord, I will not go away until you bless me".
Great advice, thank you!!
What else can we do? I've asked God that a lot recently and believe the answer I've received is this. We can visit people in a nursing home, help out with a summer kids program, volunteer in a homeless shelter or thrift store, etc. We're saved by faith and not by works, but a sense of pure gratitude follows that faith and naturally leads to a desire to serve others as Christ did. Very few of us will ever have God heal the blind with our prayers and touch, but we can 'feed the 5000' by helping organize a food drive in our church, youth group, or home group. It's a daunting task thinking about it, but we're told to be faithful in the small things. Do that and you'll usually be surprised at what happens next.
God bless you.
Thanks and GOD bless you.
Totally agree, Michael! When we show God's love to other people we usually walk away with an overwhelming sense of how much he loves US! :)
Worship God with ALL what you are. Let the Holy Spirit guide you to fast and spend time with the Timeless One: JESUS. Just have time in HIS presence.
Thanks Sonya.
Worship as much as possible! Don't you understand that this desire is a good thing? Past revivals have started when people were sooo hungry for God. Don't try to satisfy it, build on your hunger, because the more hunger you have the more God moves in your life, and through you.
Thank you Luke.
