We all know that worship isn't just singing... but how do we live a life of worship? How do we worship continuously? ...can we worship continuously?

What other activities other than singing can help us to worship God?

I think of 1 Cor. 10:31 "Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." and Colossians 3:17 "Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father."

Worship isn't limited to any activity (or set of activities), but rather is defined by my attitude in that activity.

Am I vacuuming with a heart filled with gratitude for the home that God has provided? In my workplace, do I have a constant awareness of God's perfect purpose(s) for me there, including providing for my family's needs, and also representing Jesus to my co-workers and customers? How well am I learning to recognize God's hand in every area of my life (because it IS there!), and how readily do I give Him credit and glory (first in my heart, then with my words and actions)?

Great thought-provoking question, one that I find I need to revisit regularly!
Some really good posts here. They have encouraged me a lot. Thanking God, Pleasing God by doing what I know to be right, loving God in word and deed, obeying His Word, heart attitude, is what I am picking up here. I think there is also the aspect of listening to Him, not talking about obedience here, but there are times we reflect our worship by listening to God, being attentive to His voice / prompting for whatever purpose He has.
Worship is my response to Gods revelation. First, in what He did at the cross for me, what He continues to do and what He will complete in me. I have learned to differentiate between "praise" (the fruit of my lips) and "worship" (the fruit of my life).
Here we go again - I guess I prefer a more narrow definition of worship. Instead of rolling every form of Christian activity under "worship", I prefer to narrow it down a bit to the act of worshiping as in verbal praise and honor. Does anyone feel the same?

It seems that when you start to define worship as a broad activity that encompasses every aspect of life, it takes on a life of it's own and then we start to make worship leaders into the most important thing since Noah.

In the end, we lead worship and hopefully we do forms of worship on our own. I think we are to live our lives as Godly people which includes personal worship and a God fearing mentality. But as worship leaders, we are called because of our specific skills in this area, just like Asaph and family who were chosen for their ability to write songs and play instruments.

So for me - worship isn't obedience, worship isn't teaching, worship isn't exhorting, worship isn't confessing, worship isn't witnessing etc. etc. And therefore, since we aren't' the elders in Revelation, we don't seem to have the capacity or call to worship 24 x 7.

Hows that for the contrary position?
Today was my first official Sunday as Music Minister in a new church. Though I really don't give that much a hoot about titles, I kind of like it -- it says what I primarily do. Previously, I was "Pastor of Worship Arts", art being the skillful application of things musical, theatrical, literary and... well, artistic. In that sense, I agree with you about this overbroad classification of music/art ministry as "worship leader."

At the same time, though, I find Paul's generic definition of worship in Romans 12:1 to very succinctly account for many aspects of the life of worship, the worship in spirit in truth that Jesus spoke of at the well in Samaria. But that doesn't apply to me specifically -- it applies to all believers: it makes us all "worship leaders" by virtue of the Great Commission.

As Syndrome spoke in his wisdom: "Everyone can be super. And when everyone's super... no one will be.
sometimes we have to shut up..be silent and gaze upon the beauty of the Lord, drink deep from His cup of refreshing love :-)
Conducting our business honestly.
Sharing our faith in God.
Resisting temptation to blame, to ignore, to depersonalize others, to cheat, to draw honor to ourselves (especially under the guise of humility).
Going the extra mile with joy in our hearts.
Giving someone a specific quality compliment.
Giving genuine thanks in our heart for life.
Listening to someone else's song when we really don't like it that much, and finding a way to encourage them.
Doing right for right's sake, even if it induces persecution.
Come to Jesus with our sadnesses.
Blow a dandelion and watch the seeds drift away in the wind.
See the beauty in an ugly person or thing and give a blessing without being aware of doing so.
Dance.
Read God's word.
